ARKITEK: DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE LLC is a design studio primarily based in Southern Oregon and rural Northern California focusing essentially on sustainable practices in architecture and universal accessibility. The core design team works in a collaborative format, coming from different parts of the world and finding strength in cultural diversity, unique perspectives of experience and therefore design solutions. The firm was established in 2012, by the principal architect Christopher Brown who has held a primary managing role on several projects in Southern Oregon as both LEED principal and Architect of Record.

Our approach to architecture is built upon the principal that design does not equate to undue expense. We strive to create regional context through robust and timeless solutions in the built environment. Arkitek believes in the importance of creating socially responsive and equitable spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all, and we are committed to working towards the alignment of these values in our projects. Timeless and robust designs using vernacular techniques, solid craftsmanship, efficient construction methods are integral part of our design process. We aspire to create identity-driven designs that integrates local materials, climate as well as physical and cultural topography.
