Elvis Wang has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries and roles. Starting in 2009, they served as a 3rd Sergeant Vehicle Commander in the Singapore Army until 2010. In 2011, they worked as an Assistant Teacher for the Ministry of Education in Singapore, specializing in Art and English Literature. Elvis also worked as an Art Educator for TOL Artventure and as a Gallery Assistant at Utterly Art Pte Ltd in 2010. From 2011 to 2015, Elvis worked as a Student Ambassador at Goldsmiths, University of London, showcasing their skills and knowledge. In 2015, they became a Marketing and PR Executive at STATE SG, a lifestyle agency in Singapore. Elvis also took on the role of Freelance Project Manager and Creative Producer at Idea Ink Illustrations Pte Ltd during this period. Elvis later became self-employed in 2010 and established himself as a Multidisciplinary Fine Artist, exhibiting their work across the UK, US, and Singapore. Elvis curated several group shows, received positive press reviews, and participated in national art initiatives like OH! Open House Singapore and the Singapore International Festival of the Arts. In 2017, Elvis joined ARK John Keats Academy as an Art Teacher, specializing in teaching KS3/4/5. Elvis later took on various roles within ARK, including University Liaison Lead and Head of Year 9 before becoming the Head of Year 10 and Lead teacher for DT and Art Teacher in 2023.
Elvis Wang attended Nanyang Junior College from 2007 to 2008 where they obtained their GCE 'A' Levels in the field of Humanities. Later, they pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Fine Art and History of Art Joint Honours from Goldsmiths, University of London, from 2011 to 2015. In 2016 and 2017, Elvis completed their PGCE degree in Art and Design at Goldsmiths, University of London.
