Ian Packer

Ian Packer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Ian began their career in 1995 at PepsiCo as the Director of Projects EAMEA, where they successfully implemented capital projects and developed operations in emerging markets. Ian then joined Sainsburys as a Senior Manager Infrastructure delivery, managing productivity and capacity expansion projects for their UK distribution operations. In 2005, Ian became the European Project Director at Swisslog BV, delivering a project portfolio worth £100 million in the UK, Benelux, and Scandinavia. Ian later worked as the Director of Projects at Haywards Llp and as the Project Director at Golden for Fox's Biscuits. Ian also held roles at Arla Foods, Müller Wiseman Dairies, apetito, and Arla Foods amba, where they served as a Project Lead, Project Manager, Interim Project Director, and Senior Project Manager Contract, respectively. Finally, Ian established IPPM Consulting Ltd in 2013, where they currently work as a Director, providing program and project management support to the FMCG and retail sectors, specializing in warehouse and logistics automation.

Ian Packer obtained their BSc in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermodynamics, Structural Engineering, and Fluid Dynamics from the University of Bristol between 1977 and 1980. There is no additional information available regarding their later education at the University of Bristol.
