Andy Smith

Andy Smith is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management, currently serving as Engineering Director at Arm since December 2020, where responsibilities include managing teams that deliver cloud-based, hybrid, and on-prem solutions. Prior roles include Head of Software Practice at DisplayLink, overseeing recruitment and development for a team of 60 engineers, and Global DevOps Lead at Thales eSecurity, managing development tooling and operations. Andy has also held positions at ADP, Leica Microsystems, Northgate Information Solutions, Raytheon, and BAE Systems, showcasing a strong track record in leading software engineering initiatives, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional team management. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies from the University of Portsmouth.
