Gem Dot possesses extensive experience in CPU and performance modeling, having held significant roles at prominent companies such as Arm, Apple, and Man Group. At Arm, positions included Senior CPU Designer focusing on the L2 unit for next-generation A class CPUs and various roles in C++ performance modeling. In the academic field, Gem achieved a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Architecture from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Currently, Gem holds the position of Staff Performance C++ Modeling Engineer at Arm, following a tenure as a C++ Platform Engineer at Man Group and a GPU/NoC C++ Performance Modeling Engineer at Apple. Additionally, a recent role as AI Hardware C++ Performance Modeling Engineer at Neubla focuses on AI hardware chip design.
