John Penton has extensive experience in CPU design and safety architecture, currently serving as CPU Safety Architect & Fellow at Arm since October 2001, where responsibilities have included technical leadership and the specification, development, and testing of CPU designs. Prior roles at Arm include Architect & Fellow for Cortex-R/CPU Safety and various engineering positions where John contributed to the design and development of CPU Intellectual Property. Earlier experience includes a role as Volunteer Technician at Viz A Viz Ministries. John Penton holds an MEng in Electrical and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge, earned between 1996 and 2000.
