Joseph Yiu

Joseph Yiu is a distinguished engineer currently employed at Arm since January 2001, where contributions include defining next-generation compute subsystems and embedded processors. Yiu's extensive experience encompasses roles as a senior principal engineer, senior embedded technology manager, and embedded technology specialist, highlighting expertise in Cortex-M processor products and ARM technologies applied to embedded applications. Prior to Arm, Yiu served as the chairman of the SPEC Embedded Group steering committee from May 2024 to February 2025, leading the transition from EEMBC to the SPEC Embedded Group and overseeing various operational aspects. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Microelectronics Systems Design from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, complemented by a higher diploma in the same field.
