René de Jong

René de Jong is a Staff Research Engineer at Arm, where they investigate machine learning applications on resource-restricted devices. René previously held the position of Senior Research Engineer, also at Arm, following an industrial placement focused on non-volatile memory interface controllers. They gained early experience through internships at HiTECHnologies and the FOM Institute for Plasma Physics Rijnhuizen, where they developed hardware and software solutions. René holds a Master of Science in Embedded Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering and Design from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
