Sam Taylor is a seasoned technology leader with extensive expertise in IoT software strategy and engineering. Currently serving as Senior Director of IoT Software Strategy at Arm since October 2006, Sam has been instrumental in developing the AIoT line of business and implementing software strategies for IoT devices. Previous roles at Arm include leading the engineering team for Mbed OS and Pelion device management, as well as managing customer engineering for Mali GPU graphics solutions, notably collaborating with Google on the Nexus 10 tablet. Prior to Arm, Sam worked as a Principal Engineer at Nokia, focusing on the Java ME environment for feature phones, and co-founded Seascape Software, specializing in CGI water animation technology. Sam earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Australian National University, complementing a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from the same institution.
