Sherwin Murphy is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in advanced CPU design and hardware engineering. At Qualcomm from March 2011 to May 2016, Sherwin served as Staff Engineer and Senior Staff Engineer, specializing in sign-off static timing analysis for ARM-based mobile and server CPUs, including efforts in automation and timing processes. Prior to Qualcomm, Sherwin worked at IBM from May 1996 to March 2011 as an Advisory Design Engineer, focusing on networking hardware, verification, synthesis, RTL design, and static timing analysis. Currently, Sherwin holds positions as Principal Hardware Engineer and Hardware Design Engineer at Microsoft from April 2020 to April 2025, and as Implementation Engineer at Arm since April 2025. Sherwin earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from North Carolina State University in 1998.
