Wayne Smith

Wayne Smith is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in custom CPU design, emphasizing low power and high performance. They began their career as a CPU Design Engineer at IBM from 1998 to 2003, then served as Senior Director of Technology at Qualcomm until 2018. Wayne continued as Principal Architect at Microsoft until 2022 and currently holds the position of Senior Technical Director at Arm. They earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1992 and 1997.
