Young Sohn

Young Sohn is a seasoned executive and venture capital leader, currently serving as the Founding Managing Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures since November 2021, focusing on early-stage U.S. companies. Since 2017, Young has held the position of Chairman Of The Board at HARMAN International, where significant contributions include leading an $8 billion acquisition while serving as President of Samsung. As a co-founder of Extreme Tech Challenge in 2015, Young promotes global innovation related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Additional board roles include membership at Arm and Cadence Design Systems, alongside advisory responsibilities at Astra Protocol. Young's previous experience encompasses corporate leadership at Samsung Electronics, strategy consulting at Silver Lake, and strategic development at Arm and Cymer. Young holds a Master’s degree from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
