Leigh Whyman

Leigh Whyman is an experienced mechanic currently serving as a Senior Mechanic at ARO Drilling since September 2022. Prior to this role, Leigh held several positions at Seadrill Careers from February 2012 to November 2022, including Technical Section Leader/Mechanical Supervisor in the Jack Up division in Saudi Arabia and Rig Mechanic in the Tender division AME. In these roles, a strong emphasis was placed on establishing safe working environments, conducting statutory inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Leigh's earlier experience includes serving as a Maintenance Supervisor, Production Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, and Pump Room Mechanic at Cleveland Potash from September 1997 to January 2012, where responsibilities ranged from supervising multi-disciplinary teams to performing essential maintenance on mining machinery. Education was completed at Hartlepool Tech College.
