Matt Smith

Matt Smith is a Sr. Manager in Scientific Development at Aroa Biosurgery Ltd, where they oversee product innovation projects focused on extra-cellular matrix-based medical devices. They have previously served as a Lead Research Scientist at NanoLayr and as a Research Officer at the University of Waikato, conducting significant research in biobased polymers and composites. With a PhD in Materials & Process Engineering from the University of Waikato and a BSc in Sports & Materials Science from the University of Birmingham, Matt possesses extensive experience in R&D and is passionate about sustainable materials.
