Josh Silverman has had a varied work experience, beginning with a Scientist role at Maxygen in 2002. Josh then moved to Avidia Research Institute in 2003, where they were Director - CMC. In 2006, they joined Amgen as Director Process Development. In 2008, they became Vice President, Product Development at Amunix, Inc. In 2010, they were President and Founder of S3 Innovations, Inc. Josh then Co-Founded Calysta Energy in 2011, and Colytix, Inc. in 2016. In 2018, they became Chief Science Advisor and CEO at Aromyx Corporation, and in 2022 they became Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Methane Climate Startup.
Josh Silverman completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from Stanford University School of Medicine between 1998 and 2002. Josh also received a PhD in Biochemistry from Stanford University between 1997 and 2002.
