Doug Ikelheimer has extensive experience in the field of telepsychiatry and emergency psychiatry. From January 2008 to January 2017, Doug served as an On-Demand Telepsychiatrist and later as Associate Medical Director at InSight Telepsychiatry, leading innovations in home-based telepsychiatry services. During this time, Doug founded and became CEO of the first online practice platform dedicated to home-based telepsychiatry, integrating directory, scheduling, and billing systems. Prior to this, Doug worked at Denver Health from July 2003 to September 2016 as a Psychiatrist and Medical Director for the Psychiatric Emergency Service, focusing on emergency psychiatry and serving as PES Medical Director from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, Doug was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Department of Psychiatry from June 2003 to September 2016.
