VP, Therapy Services at Array Behavioral Care

Marlene McDermott is the current Vice President of Therapy Services at Array Behavioral Care. Marlene has over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, with a focus on rehabilitation and high school day treatment. Marlene has also taught as an adjunct professor at Gloucester County College.

Marlene McDermott began their career as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist at FamiliesFirst in August 2001. In this role, they conducted individual, family, marriage, and group therapy sessions, presented quarterly reviews for a caseload of students, and provided crisis intervention for the milieu. Marlene also developed and implemented treatment plans, interviewed students for placement in the program, and consulted with milieu staff daily regarding students' programs and progress.

In August 2020, Marlene McDermott became the Director of Clinical Services for Array Behavioral Care. In this role, they provide oversight of all clinical services within Array's network of over 30 locations across the country. Marlene also works with Array's CEO and senior leadership team to develop and implement company-wide clinical initiatives.

Prior to their current position, Marlene was the Operations Manager at Inpathy from April 2017 to August 2020. In this role, they were responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Inpathy's outpatient counseling practice. Marlene also oversaw the practice's clinical programming, billing and collections, human resources, and marketing efforts.

Marlene McDermott has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Developmental and Child Psychology from Capella University, a Master in Science; Educational Psychology; Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University - East Bay, a BS in Psychology from Saint Joseph's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Joseph's University. Marlene also has a certification from Capella University in President's List - Winter 2022 and Summer 2020.

Marlene McDermott reports to Geoffrey Boyce, CEO. A direct report to Marlene McDermott is and Gina Mendez - Clinical Lead of Therapy Services. They work with Laura Santella-Saccone - SVP, Marketing, James R. Varrell - Executive Chief Medical Officer, and Shawn Ball - Chief Operating Officer.
