Corné van Straten has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Corné began their career as a Postbode (zaterdagmedewerker) at TNT Post. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Street marketeer at Direct Force, a Private tutor in subjects like Statistical Math and Economics at StudentsPlus Bijlessen, and as a Party Leader - LP Rotterdam at LP. During this time, they were responsible for communicating libertarian ideals in a clear and compelling fashion. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Financial Incentives Consultant at Balance - Advies, Projecten, Interim, helping innovative companies lower their tax burden. In 2017, they created a web-based tool, SDEtool.nl, which calculates and visualizes the financial viability of a solar panel installation. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Writer at cornevanstraten.com. Currently, they are a Full Stack Engineer at Crash and a Technical Support Engineer at Array.

Corné van Straten has an extensive educational background. Corné obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics & Business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2008-2009, followed by a Bachelor degree in Public administration from the same institution in 2009-2012. Corné then went on to pursue a Master of Public Administration - MPA degree at Erasmus University Rotterdam, which they completed in 2015. In 2017, they also completed a full-stack web developer course from Udemy Alumni. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Duurzame energieprojecten from Euroforum in June 2017.
