Paul Lukacs

Technical Lead, Machine Learning at ArrePath

Paul Lukacs has worked in a variety of roles in the field of machine learning and data science. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Miskolc and the University of Utah's Department of Chemical Engineering. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Clean and Secure Energy. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Adjunct Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Miskolc, teaching and researching machine vision, machine learning, scientific computing, and data science with applications in energy, environment, and sustainability. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Researcher at RISE ETC, developing full-stack AI/ML apps, smart sensors, and analytics for industry, and managing and contributing to research projects. In 2019, they were a Machine Learning Expert at Continental, and in 2020 they were a Senior Data Scientist at Phillips 66. Most recently, they are a Technical Lead for Machine Learning at ArrePath.

Paul Lukacs obtained a Material Sciences BSc from the University of Miskolc in 2009, followed by a Metallurgical Engineering MSc from the same university in 2010. Paul then attended the University of Utah from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. Finally, they received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2014.
