Matthew Chen

Matthew Chen is an experienced scientist currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew held positions as a Sr. Manufacturing Associate (Chemistry) at Singular Genomics and as a Scientist at Neurocrine Biosciences. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Associate in the Gustafson Lab at San Diego State University, where Matthew synthesized kinase inhibitors and developed enantioselective methodologies. Matthew's background also includes serving as an Assistant Process Research and Development Scientist at STA Pharmaceutical, where work involved optimizing synthesis routes and scaling up reactions. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UC Irvine.
