James Bevan is an experienced sports professional currently serving as an Academy Performance Coach at Arsenal F.C. since September 2022. Prior to this role, James held the position of Lead Academy Sports Scientist at Exeter City Football Club from July 2019 to September 2022 and served as Women's Head of Physical Performance at AIK Fotboll for a brief period in 2021. James has also worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Support at the University of Portsmouth Sport and as an Assistant Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach at Portsmouth Tennis Academy Ltd, both in 2018. Earlier experience includes being an Academy Sports Scientist at Exeter City Football Club and a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Portsmouth Rugby Club. James holds an MSc in Strength & Conditioning from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, attained in 2022, and a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Portsmouth, completed in 2019.
