Simon Murphy is an accomplished sports physiotherapist currently serving as the Head Physiotherapist for the Men’s First Team at Arsenal F.C. since July 2021, with previous roles as Lead Performance Physiotherapist and Senior First Team Physiotherapist. Prior to joining Arsenal, Simon held the position of Lead Physiotherapist for the 1st Team at Leicester City Football Club from February 2014 to July 2021 and served as Head Physiotherapist at Mansfield Town Football Club from July 2012 to February 2014. Earlier experience includes a part-time role as Academy Physiotherapist at Derby County Football Club and an elected position as Vice President for Student Activities at the University of Nottingham Students' Union. Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London, and a PG Cert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography from the University of East London.
