Art in the Docks (AitD) is a community arts organisation providing accessible arts opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those historically excluded from the art world. Based along Royal Albert Wharf, AitD programmes free community workshops and events led by professional artists working in East London. We also coordinate a school-based programme for young people instilling British Values through arts-based learning and signposting to careers in the creative economy. Finally, we promote the therapeutic benefits of creative activity, using arts engagement to support individuals living in isolation and those coping with/recovering from long-term physical and mental illness.
