Ed Waltz is retired as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Virginia Tech and served an IPA position in government from 2013-2018 where he was the Division Chief, Advanced Concepts at the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He is an adjunct Professor of Strategic Intelligence at Patrick Henry College. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the Case Institute of Technology and M.S. in computer information and control engineering from the University of Michigan. He is the author of Knowledge Management in the Intelligence Enterprise and Information Warfare Principles and Operations, and the co-author of Counterdeception Principles and Applications for National Security and Multisensor Data Fusion.
