Peter Noorlander has extensive experience in human rights, media law, and digital safety, serving as a Rapporteur for the Council of Europe's Committee of Experts on online safety and empowerment of content creators and users since 1962. Concurrently, Peter is a board member of ARTICLE 19, which promotes free expression and engagement in public life, and an adviser for Reporters Shield, where responsibilities included Startup Director from 2023 to April 2024. As Operations Lead for WHAT TO FIX, Peter leads efforts to protect information integrity. Additionally, Peter consults for NGOs and intergovernmental organizations on human rights and media law through Global Rights Hub and serves on the Board of Trustees of Doc Society, which supports documentary filmmaking. Previous roles include legal positions at various non-profit organizations.
