Marcus Bourda currently serves as the Director of Research and Development at Artivion, Inc. since February 2025. Previously, Marcus held the same position at Terumo Aortic from February 2020 to November 2024. Before that, a Development Director role was undertaken at Zimmer Biomet from 2012, following the acquisition of Biomet Inc. in 2015. Marcus began a career in research and development as a Staff Research and Development Engineer at DePuy Orthopaedics from 2006 to 2012, during which DePuy Trauma was acquired by Biomet Inc. in 2012. Early experience includes Development Engineer roles at Hand Innovations and Cordis from 2001 to 2006, as well as at Dendreon from 1998 to 2001. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tulane University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Miami Herbert Business School.
