Mark Hammond is a Senior Software Engineer with a wealth of experience. Mark began their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer (Student Placement) at BT, where they developed a software application for home security applications using C and Java. Mark then moved to SciSys in 2007, where they developed a merchant services payment component within a JEE application for a government eCommerce project. In the same year, they joined ThorpeGlen Ltd, where they developed a rich client Java application for a startup telecommunication security solution. Mark then moved to KCOM in 2010, where they developed and maintained SOAP and RESTful web services for a mobile network operators billing systems. In 2013, they joined Leisure Pass Group, where they developed an eCommerce gateway API and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and OpenAPI. In 2019, they joined Data Point Partners, where they designed a scaleable, resilient, fault tolerant, highly available, event-driven AWS serverless application. In 2020, they joined connectRN Inc., where they designed and developed a solution so that nurses had a better user experience finding available shifts. Finally, in 2021, they joined Dassault Systèmes, where they expanded the contract and functionality of simulation API’s so internal clients can associate multiple entity types to a simulation run. In 2022, they joined Ark, where they currently work as a Senior Software Engineer.

Mark Hammond completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Robotics & Intelligent Machines) from the University of Essex between 2003 and 2006. In October 2020, they obtained a SQL certification from TestDome. In July 2011, they obtained an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification from Oracle.
