Christopher Young has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Christopher began their career as a Graduate Trainee at Rolls-Royce, where they gained a foundation in the finance industry. Christopher then worked as a Finance Analyst in various departments within Rolls-Royce, including Business Evaluations and Power Ventures. Christopher also served as a Treasury Analyst, responsible for forecasting key currencies for the company's forward contracts.
In 2009, Christopher joined Expedia, Inc. as a Finance Analyst for the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN). Christopher was responsible for budgeting and demand prediction for the EAN. Christopher later became a Senior Financial Analyst for Expedia's APAC region, where they focused on forecasting the regional profit and loss statement and analyzing marketing channel performance. Christopher then took on the role of Finance Manager for Expedia Australia, where they managed financial operations and worked independently due to the remote nature of the role. Christopher subsequently became Senior Finance Manager for Expedia EMEA, providing proactive commercial support to the Central Europe point of sales.
In 2017, Christopher joined Groupon as a Senior Commercial Finance Manager for EMEA Coupons, Getaways, Voucher Cloud, and Strategic Partnerships. Christopher designed and implemented a structured review process to evaluate merchant profitability and improve deals. In 2019, they were promoted to Head of Finance, Global Coupons, where they managed all elements of the profit and loss statement for the global coupons organization across multiple brands and countries.
Most recently, Christopher joined Artsy in 2021 as Director of FP&A before being promoted to Senior Director. Christopher currently holds the position and is responsible for financial planning and analysis.
Christopher Young attended Comprehensive School from 1992 to 1999 where they completed their GCSEs and A-levels. From 2000 to 2003, they studied at the University of Nottingham, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics. In 2003, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Satellite Positioning Technology at the University of Nottingham, completing it in 2004. Finally, from 2004 to 2006, Christopher attended The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, focusing on Management Accounting.
