Alejandro Gutierrez

Alejandro Gutierrez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in urban planning and architecture. Currently serving as a Board Trustee for the Ove Arup Foundation since January 2023, Alejandro has held the position of Director at Arup since October 2016. Previously, Alejandro worked as the Executive Director at CREO Antofagasta from May 2012 to October 2016 and as the Executive President for the productivity and sustainable construction program at CORFO from January 2015 to August 2016. Early career highlights include roles as Associate Director at Arup from 2002 to 2012, Director of the Urban Studies Department at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2000 to 2002, and Project Manager at Novaterra Inmobiliaria from 1999 to 2000. Alejandro co-founded Mas Diseno, where Alejandro served as co-director from 1995 to 1998. Educationally, Alejandro holds a Master’s degree in City Design and Social Science from The London School of Economics and a degree in Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
