Alex Callaway

Alex Callaway is currently a Senior Marine Ecologist at Arup, a position they have held since 2025. Previously, from 2012 to 2020, they served as a Senior Habitat Mapper at Cefas, where they supported Marine Protected Area evidence collection and monitoring, along with data analysis and project management. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Hydrographer at EMU Ltd in 2011 and 2012, focusing on acoustic data cleaning and mosaicing. They have been a Senior Scientific Officer at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute since 2020. Alex completed their education at the University of Ulster in 2007.
