Andrew Sorrie is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in ground engineering and geotechnical design. Since September 2011, Andrew has held various roles at Arup, currently serving as the Ground Engineering Discipline Lead, while also contributing as a Senior Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer. In addition to engineering responsibilities, Andrew has been involved as a Bridge Corp Mentor for Engineers In Action since July 2018, assisting the University of Toronto Chapter with pedestrian bridge projects in Bolivia and eSwatini. Previously, Andrew mentored for Bridges to Prosperity from January 2017 to June 2018, helping design and construct pedestrian bridges in Peru. Andrew began their career with an internship at JBA Engenharia e Consultoria Ltda in 2010 and holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee, obtained in 2011.
