Barbara Lane

Barbara Lane is a Technology Leader at Arup UK. Barbara has been with the company since 1997 and has held various positions including Fire Engineer, Senior Fire Engineer, and Member of the Board for UKIMEA region within the Arup Group. Barbara has also worked as a summer intern for Wicklow County Council and Dumez Ile De France.

After completing their Leaving Certificate at St. David's Greystones in Ireland, Barbara Lane pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering at Trinity College Dublin. Barbara then went on to earn their PhD in Fire Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.

They are on a team with Isabel Dedring - Global Transport Leader and Board member, Fiona Cousins - Americas Digital Services Leader and Board member, and Michael Kwok - Chair, East Asia Region & Board Member. Barbara Lane reports to Alan Belfield, Chairman.
