Ben Vaughan is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Professional Engineer with PEGNL. Currently serving as the Energy Lead for Arup in New Zealand since November 2023, Ben has amassed extensive experience in the engineering field. Prior roles include Principal Consultant in Due Diligence at ERM, Senior Project Engineer at Pennecon Hydraulic Systems, and various engineering positions at Genoa Design International Ltd. and Arup, where responsibilities included managing complex mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems for major infrastructure projects. Notable past experience also includes senior mechanical engineering roles in drilling equipment at KCA Deutag and AMEC, as well as mechanical engineering contributions on critical projects like the Clair Ridge Project and Ichthys Project. Ben earned a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 2003 and 2007.
