Chaminda Hettigoda

Chaminda Hettigoda is a highly experienced electrical engineer currently serving as the Technical Lead for Power Systems at Arup since July 2022. Prior to this role, Chaminda held the position of Principal Power System Engineer at APD Engineering from April 2021 to July 2022 and worked at SMEC from April 2016 to April 2021 in various roles including Principal Engineer - Electrical, Associate Engineer - Electrical, and Senior Associate Engineer. Chaminda's career began at the Victoria hydro power station under CEB, where responsibilities included maintenance and operation of a 3x70MW hydro power station from May 1998 to July 2008. Chaminda earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
