Chris Martin is a Registered Ground Engineering Adviser with over 25 years of geotechnical experience across international energy, transport, and building projects. Presently serving as the Arup Energy Geotechnics Leader, Chris coordinates ground engineering efforts to facilitate the energy transition. Previously, Chris spent a decade as a client engineer for hydrocarbon and CCUS projects with a major energy operator and has contributed significantly to various engineering committees, including the Geological Society and the Society for Underwater Technology. Chris has a strong commitment to professional development, actively engaging in teaching, mentoring, and promoting continuous improvement within the geotechnical community.
