Chris Robinson

Chris Robinson is an experienced engineering professional specializing in thermofluids and industrial decarbonisation. Currently serving as the Industrial Decarbonisation & Hydrogen Design Lead at Arup since June 2023, Chris focuses on projects in the Teesside region that support the UK's Net Zero ambitions. As the Director of CER Technologies Ltd. since January 2020, Chris provides independent engineering consultancy services, with expertise in areas such as CFD modelling, fluid systems analysis, and environmental assessments. Additionally, as the Industrial Decarbonisation Project Manager for Tees Valley Combined Authority, Chris collaborates with industrial companies to develop decarbonisation strategies. Previous roles include Associate Director at MMI Thornton Tomasetti and research in turbulence modelling. Chris holds a PhD in CFD & Turbulence Modelling from The University of Manchester, as well as an MSc in Computational Fluid Dynamics and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
