Dan Birch

Dan Birch is an Associate Director at Arup, where they have been since 2022, following over 20 years of experience with the firm. As a structural engineer and multi-disciplinary project leader, Dan has contributed to significant projects such as the Heathrow T5 roof and Abu Dhabi International Airport. They lead Arup’s Industrial work across the UK, India, Middle East, and Africa, and are a member of the UKIMEA Science, Industry and Technology group. Dan holds a Master's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where they graduated with first honors. Committed to sustainable design, Dan focuses on innovative approaches to reduce carbon impacts in engineering projects.
