Dan Ringelstein

Dan Ringelstein is an accomplished professional in urban design and planning, currently serving as the Director of Master Planning and Urban Design in the Cities, Planning and Design division at Arup since February 2022. Prior to this role, Dan held significant positions at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) from May 1994 to January 2022, including Director of Urban Design and Planning and Associate Partner/Studio Head for Urban Design & Planning. Dan's career began in France as an Architecte/Urbaniste at Agence d'Architecture et d'Urbanisme Olivier Dugas from June 1988 to May 1994. Dan holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by cross registration studies at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with studies at the Ecole d'Architecture de Versailles.
