David Cormie is an experienced director at Arup, where employment spans from May 2006 to the present in the Resilience, Security and Risk divisions. Responsibilities include counter-terrorism engineering, focusing on blast resilience, hostile vehicle mitigation, and security design for various infrastructures. Cormie also serves as Vice Chair for the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists since October 2019. Prior roles include Project Engineer positions at MMI Thornton Tomasetti and ABS Consulting, where expertise was applied to petrochemical hazards and seismic analysis for nuclear facilities.
