David O'Keeffe

David O'Keeffe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the transport and technology sector. Currently serving as Director at Arup since April 2013, David oversees a diverse range of technology-based projects, including smarter mobility, urban traffic management, and public transport systems. As Chairman of Intelligent Transport Systems Ireland since 2010, David promotes the benefits of Intelligent Transport Solutions through a collaborative partnership across various sectors. Previously, David held the position of Associate Director at Arup Consulting Engineers from 2002 to 2013 and worked as a Traffic Engineer at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency from 1989 to 2002, where significant advancements in traffic management systems were implemented. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University College Cork.
