Desmond Chen is the Head of Business Partnering for Southeast Asia at Arup, where they lead leadership and cultural transformations to scale a humane performance organization. Desmond has extensive experience in human resources, having served as a Senior HR Manager at Suntory Global Spirits and an HR Business Partner at The Kraft Heinz Company, among others. They are also a founding adviser for the AI for HR Community, aimed at fostering growth and collaboration among HR professionals globally. Desmond holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Murdoch University and a diploma from Temasek Polytechnic, both focused on hospitality and tourism management. Desmond was recognized with the HRD Asia Award in 2024 for their contributions to the field.
