Ed Hoare is a Chartered Structural Engineer with an MEng in Civil Engineering from Bristol University. They began their career as a Structural Engineer at Arup Associates from 2000 to 2003 and then moved to Mitchell Vranjes as a Senior Engineer until 2005. From 2005 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Engineer in Arup's Sustainable Buildings Group, followed by an Associate role from 2014 to 2018, and returned to Arup as an Associate from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Ed serves as the Associate Director and Global Structural Sustainability Lead at Arup.
