Eda Acara holds a PhD in Geography and Planning, an MA in Gender and Women's Studies, and a BA in Sociology. They served as an Assistant Professor of Geography at İzmir Bakircay University from 2018 to 2023, and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi from 2015 to 2018. Currently, Eda is an Independent Consultant for the Türkiye Organized Industry Zones project with The World Bank and serves as a Project Coordinator and Researcher at Istanbul Policy Center, Sabancı University. Their expertise includes gender and economic inclusion, as evidenced by their roles with Arup and The World Bank.
