Ellen Whitfield

Ellen Whitfield, P.Eng is a Senior Sustainability Engineer at Arup since August 2020, with prior experience as a Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Designer. Before Arup, Ellen worked as an AI Researcher at COSMONiO (now part of Intel Corporation) for a short tenure in late 2019, and held various roles at Trane from 2015 to 2019, including Technical Sales Account Manager and Associate Account Manager, alongside internships. Ellen began academic contributions as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Queen's University in 2016. Earlier roles include working as an Engineering Student with the Corporation of the Town of Newmarket and as an Ontario Ranger with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and is currently pursuing further education in the field at the University of Exeter.
