Emily Richards

Emily Richards has a robust background in public affairs and communications, currently serving as Public Affairs Lead at Arup since August 2025. Prior to this role, Emily held significant positions at Edelman from October 2018 to August 2025, including Associate Director and Account Director. Emily's experience also includes a tenure at The Labour Party from December 2009 to October 2018, where responsibilities included leading the briefing service for senior Labour politicians as Head of Briefing, along with earlier roles such as Briefing Officer and Research Officer. Additionally, Emily worked as Editorial and Communications Manager at Progress - Labour's progressives from September 2008 to December 2009. Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Modern History and Politics from the University of Oxford, obtained between 2004 and 2007.
