Freya Groves

Freya Groves has a diverse background in both engineering and leadership roles. Experience includes assisting the lead art teacher at Art Club Edinburgh and working as Front of House at Copper Blossom. Currently employed as a Graduate Engineer at Arup since September 2025, Freya also serves as Treasurer for the Strathclyde Women+ in Leadership Network and Vice President of the MAE Society. Previous roles include a Design Intern at SnapDragon Monitoring Ltd, where responsibilities involved creating animations and digital artwork, and serving as Social and Welfare Captain at Strathclyde Snowsports. Freya is an active member of the IMechE Glasgow Young Members Panel, specializing in marketing. Educational background includes attending George Heriot's School, where Freya was School Captain, followed by obtaining a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, along with a brief study at Queen's University.
