Gareth Rees

Gareth Rees is an Associate Director at Arup, where since April 2016, Gareth has served as the Rail North Leader, directing teams across Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Newcastle offices. With a focus on delivering for a diverse client base, including Network Rail and Translink, Gareth leverages extensive relationships within the UK rail industry. Notably, Gareth acted as Project Director for the acclaimed £120 million expansion and renovation of Glasgow's Queen Street Station. Prior experience includes a Senior Project Manager role at FirstGroup, where Gareth represented the company on the Rail Delivery Group’s Stations Strategy Group and managed significant rail depot extension projects, along with previous positions at Sweett Group and Atkins.
