Graeme Gidney

Graeme Gidney is a seasoned professional in building services engineering, currently serving as Director at Arup since August 2016. With a wealth of experience dating back to 1992, Gidney has held significant roles at AECOM as Regional Director and Building Engineering, and at Buro Happold as Group Director, where leadership of the Building Services Engineering team in the Edinburgh office was a key responsibility. Gidney specializes in the design of sustainable buildings across various sectors, including healthcare, scientific facilities, education, broadcast, cultural, leisure, and commercial properties. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Arup, focusing on management and design across diverse building types, and as a Graduate Engineer at Taymel. Gidney holds an MSt in Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment from the University of Cambridge.
