Ian Rogers is a seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of experience in the legal and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Director at Arup since September 1998, Ian leads legal support for global digital transformation and the ventures program, which was established in 2012. Prior to Arup, Ian held the position of Head of Intellectual Property and Technology Law at GEON ENERGY LIMITED from March 2018 to March 2020 and worked as a Director at Rowe & Maw (now Mayer Brown) from March 1995 to September 1998. Ian's earlier roles include soliciting for Herbert Smith and a trainee position in various legal fields, following a background as a Student Engineer at the Ministry of Defence Procurement Executive. Ian holds a CPE and LSF in Law from the College of Law and an M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London.
