Ivan Acosta is a civil engineer with additional studies in architecture, currently serving as the Team Leader for Whole Life Cycle Carbon and Sustainability at Arup. With a strong interest in building energy efficiency and sustainable resource management, Ivan has successfully led sustainable building certifications for various international projects. Their previous roles include Deputy Team Lead at AECOM, where they focused on sustainability, and consultant positions at Green Loop and LKS. Ivan holds a Master of Science in Resource Efficiency in Architecture and Planning from HafenCity Universität Hamburg, as well as a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.
